About the Brewery...
Husband and wife team, Tom and Gill Mellor, started Wold Top with the simple vision of using traditional methods to produce high quality beer and we think they have succeeded! Using premium home grown barley and the purest water drawn from their own spring their beers are excellent examples of Yorkshire brewing at its best.
About the Beer...
The name is inspired by the first UK recorded landing of a meteorite near the brewery site in 1795. This is a great beer with a lovely hop aroma and long bitter finish that does not disappoint. A great accompaniment to many 'traditional' pub dishes but best with full flavoured, hearty sausages, onion gravy and mash.
